1.General

1.1 We offer our services through www.lensomania.co.uk

      Our contact address is : 151 Avebury Avenue,Leicester,LE4 0HF.

1.2 Lensomania will also be referred to in these terms and conditions as “us” and “we”.

1.3 These terms and conditions set out the rights and obligations that apply when you use our services or/and you buy goods from us. Please read them carefully before you place your order as you will be bound by these terms and conditions, once you place an order. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these terms and conditions, please contact us before you place an order.

​1.4 These terms and conditions are governed by and were written in accordance with UK law, and we reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. However, after an order is placed, we will not change the terms and conditions relating to that order.

1.5 If any part of these conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the validity, legality or enforce ability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected. This contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with UK law.

1.6 These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Customer Obligations 

By submitting you order  to 'Lensomania' you confirm that:

2.1 You are aged 16 or over and are not registered blind or registered partially sighted.

2.2 You are in possession of a written prescription for your spectacles that has been given to you by a qualified optician in the last 24 months or or less if it has been different period set by the optician.

2.3 You will supply a copy of your valid prescription with any additional notes on the presciription when requested.

2.4 You will supply to us your correct PD-pupil distance measurement when place the order with us, unless we will be able to read your PD from your existing glasses you will send to us to reglazed.

2.5 You are not aware of any reason why the products could be unsuitable to you.

2.6 Your all details regarding payment and delivery provided when placing the order are correct and up to date.

2.6 You are the authorized holder of any credit/debit card that you may use on to pay for services or goods supplied by us.

3.Contract

3.1 By requesting a pack, you have agreed to and read our terms and conditions fully.

3.2 Once we have accepted your order and payment has been received, a legally binding contract will exist between you and us.

3.3 We require full payment with delivery fees for the whole order before we start to proceed with the order.

3.3 We reserve the right to decline a reglaze to your old/or new frame if after an inspection, there is a high risk of breaking the frame because of it's poor condition or quality manufacture.

3.4 We will refund you in full, if from any circumstances,  we are unable to supply the requested lenses.

3.5 You can cancel the contract only within the time, before we cut the lenses to fit into your frame and this rule will apply only for stock lenses which are off the shelf. The time frame to cancel will depend how quickly we get lenses from suppliers ( most often 1 working day but it may be longer ). For lenses tailored and manufactured for your requirements, you can not cancel the order once the lenses has started to be manufactured.

 

4.Liability

4.1 We will always try to supply the ordered goods or services in our agreed time frame which will be set when customer place the order, unless it is impossible for us to do this because of circumstances beyond our control. In particular we will not be responsible for delays caused by our suppliers.

4.2 We shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect to goods supplied or delivered hereunder that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control (including, without limitation, strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes.)

4.3 Lensomania offer a free post service when you send your glasses to us; however, the sender is responsible for the package until it is delivered to our address. In case of lost or damaged parcel we can only claim compensation from Royal Mail for you. Please arrange your own tracked and insured postage if you want to send us valuable frames and affraid to send them using our free postage label.

4.4 We are always very careful when we fit lenses into your frame, but in very rare cases, your frame can break. We can not take responsibility for any damage to your frame during lens fitting.  All reglaze is done by us on your own risk - it is standard procedure in this case, all opticians have the same or similar policy. 

If the damage of your frame occur we will contact you and  try to find best solution:

 - We can try to repair the frame with best result as possible

 - We can offer a similar, generic frame or try to find the same one, from our suppliers , where you would pay the price what we will pay.

 - We can issue a full refund of money you paid when placed an order and send you the damaged frame back ( with your lenses if there were any )

If somehow in very rare cases we damage a new frame you sent to us, then you should be able claim the money from the place where you bought it as new frames mostly having 12 months manufacturer guarantee for faults , claiming there was a fault in the manufacture.

4.5 We will always send back your original lenses from your frames, unless they will be damaged when we will try to remove them initially to reglaze , quite often the demo lenses become damaged - if this happen, we will dispose them.

4.6 Refurbishment of frames can be carried out to replace screws, nose pads and end tips, we cannot guarantee perfect matching unless replaced in pairs. Cleaning is carried out ultrasonically, we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred as a result. We cannot straighten or repair broken frames unless agreed before.

 

4.7 When the glasses are delivered, you should inspect them if there is no damaged and let us know as soon as possible if there is anything wrong with them, as we will not be held responsible for damage or defects caused by you after you have received them.

Returns

8.1 Lenses in Glasses have a 30 day return policy. It is the responsibility of you, (the customer), to advise us within 14 days of any problems or defects.
8.2 You must return the goods in their original condition to: 151 Avebury Avenue, Leicester, LE4 0HF
8.3 When you do return product we recommend that you obtain proof of postage from the Post Office, (recorded/signed for special delivery) as we are unable to take responsibility for packages lost in post.
8.4 Returned goods will be examined upon receipt and we will notify you about your refund or replacement via e-mail.
8.5 We have the right to refuse the issue of a refund or replacement in the event they have suffered damage after delivery, they have been misused or the problem is due to wear and tear.
8.6 Your statutory rights in relation to returns and refunds are not affected.
