Optical Technician Expert

Most of our lenses comes from one of the biggest optical lenses supplier in UK. All the lenses we use meet all the British optical standards and they are fantastic quality. Many of the High Street opticians using the same lenses suppliers - we just have the prices much lower!

We dispense lenses everyday in our practice. The expert technicians cut and fit them into the frames in Leicester lab.

Reglazing glasses is our speciality!

Very often the final finishing edging we do by hand, especially high minus prescription to thin down the thick edges. Thanks to our technician high skills even really high prescription lenses look great after the final edging.

We offer full range of lenses available on the optical market:

Polarised lenses

Polarised lenses enhance the most important functions of prescription eyewear: improved visual acuity, and the ability to block blinding glare caused by reflective sunlight from sources such as roads, water, ice and snow.

Polarised lenses contain a unique filter that blocks horizontally reflected light rays. This property significantly reduces glare by only allowing the vertical light rays to pass through the lens. No other lenses or treatments can achieve the same glare reduction performance as polarised lenses. All our polarised lenses have 85% absorbtion tint ( grey, brown or graphite-green ) and 100% UVA /UVB  protection.

Because of the horizontal light ray blocking property of polarised lenses, wearers may experience difficulties when viewing digital screens such as car navigation screens/ smartphones. This is because many of these items include a vertical polarisation which counteracts the horizontal filter of polarised lenses. It is normal and should not be a cause for concern.

Transitions GEN S Lenses

All our Transitions lenses are the latest GEN S technology.

These lenses have outstanding colour changing performance, quickly adapt to the light conditions and make your eyes comfortable all they long.

Fully clear indoors – but outside, they’re more responsive than ever thanks to Transitions GEN S technology. They are more reactive to UV light so they get darker in more conditions, including bright sun, partially sunny, cloudy, and everything in between. They also adapt to indirect light – such as light reflected from buildings, cars, and many other surfaces.

It takes about 20 seconds to fully darken and around 2 minutes to return to a clear state.

A breakthrough colour science technology provides an enhanced colour and contrast experience. It also reduces glare, thereby enhancing contrast and reducing eye fatigue and eye-strain that is common when trying to overcompensate for poor perception of colour.

100% protection from UVA and UVB light!

Harmful blue light protection!

Recommended for wearers looking for the most responsive lenses that can automatically adapt to changing light conditions.

Transitions GEN S lenses available in :

  • 3 iconic colours to choose : Grey, Brown or Green

  • 5 Transitions style colours: Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, Amber and the new colour - Ruby

Transitions XTRActive

New Generation

Most photochromic lenses react primarily to UV light. That’s why they change when you’re in the sun yet remain clear indoors. Car windshields blocks most UV light, that’s why standard photochromic lenses do not provide sufficient darkening in the car. Special photochromic molecules in Transitions XTRActive lenses responds to both: UV light and natural - visible light, so they are able to darken in the car - something no other lens can do.

Because these lenses also react to visible light they having a very light, protective tint indoor ( about 10%ABS )

Extra dark outdoor - even darker than standard transitions GEN8. They become nicely tinted in the car even in the hottest conditions. Achieves up to 60%ABS - medium tint behind the windscreen to protect your eyes from sunlight when driving.

The tint let's you drive comfortable in the sunny conditions and it's not to dark in cloudy days.

Available in 2 colours: grey or brown

Occupational/Office Lenses

Occupational lenses are designed for working professionals who need glasses for near vision work, yet need the added flexibility and range to see things a bit further away than a normal reading distance. People, who develop presbyopia at around the age of 40, lose the ability to focus properly at multiple distances.

Our occupational lens come with 4 dynamic powers, and is perfect for wearers who work in an office environment and require additions as high as 3.50D. The lens features a design that ensures a seamless transition between the middle distance and near distance vision zones. The design is optimised for indoor, desk based use and gives clear, sharp vision when looking at the computer screen and to the other side of the work room. The lens is specifically designed for small work environments, and is recommended as a second pair dispense for office / close task use.

Thanks to Digi-contour technology, wearers will receive corrective lenses designed specifically to accommodate their exact visual requirement. In order to fully maximise the wearer’s experience while wearing Office lenses, the lenses are available with Blumax technology. The lenses can be further enhanced for office use by adding the premium blue coating to improve comfort and contrast. Blumax lenses offer seamless strain-free vision, with both indoor and outdoor protection from UV and blue-violet light*. The embedded technology uses a material formula that absorbs UV and blue-violet light*.

Blue turquoise light forms a different part of the light spectrum, and exposure to this light is beneficial to our health. Blumax filters only the blue-violet light, allowing blue-turquoise light to pass through the lens.

*Protection against UV and blue-violete light filtering. (Blue-violet light is between 400 and 455nm
