This is because we don't have so many expenses like the High Street Opticians.

We cannot provide glasses to anyone under the age of 16 – sorry, it’s the law.

15.DO YOU ACCEPT NHS VOUCHERS?
No sorry, NHS vouchers are not accepted.

16.DO I NEED TO ORDER THIN LENSES?
This depends on your prescription. We would advise that for a prescription over a +3.00 or -3.00 sphere or a cyl of over +3.00 or -3.00 that you would be better off with thinner lenses but this is up to you as this increases the price. But if you have a prescription that is very strong i.e. over + or -5.00 sphere - sometimes thin lenses are necessary for the lens to fit into the frame and this will reduce the weight of the glasses and improve the cosmetic. Please have a look at our guide about lens thickness.

17.WHAT IF MY GLASSES NEED ADJUSTING?

If you send us your own current glasses to reglaze - they should not need adjusting, but if you send us a new frame or they need a slight adjustment, most optical stores will do an adjustment for free, we will always set your glasses up to British standards so 98% of the time they should sit perfectly.

Yes of course you can.

No problem. Please contact us, we can supply most of the available lenses on the UK market.

20.WHAT DOES 'REGLAZE' MEAN?

It’s where we remove the old lenses from your frame and replace them with new ones.

21.CAN YOU REGLAZE GLASSES WITH BIFOCAL, VARIFOCAL, OCUPATIONAL ( OFFICE ) LENSES?
Yes, Please check on website ,we offer single vision, bifocals, varifocals and ocupational lenses . If your current glasses which you will send us do not have fitted bifocal, varifocal or ocupational lenses, we will require a photograph of you wearing the frames. This enable us to obtain the accurate fitting measurements which are required to fit properly bifocal or multifocal lenses into the frame.

22.WHAT IF MY FRAME WILL BRAKE DURING REGLAZE?

We are very skilled and breakage is extremely rare. If your frame will break when we try to fit the lenses, unfortunately, we cannot cover the value of the frame, however if possible, we will provide a repair service free of charge. Alternatively, we can find a similar/like for like frame at the cheapest cost for you to purchase.

23. CAN I RETURN VARIFOCAL LENSES IF I CAN NOT GET ON WITH THEM?

There is generally an adjustment period for Varifocal wearers, this can be from as little as five minutes to as long as two weeks in very rare cases. If you are struggling to cope with them, we will either swap for an alternative lens type, or if you prefer, refund you in full.

24. WHY THERE IS SO MUCH DIVERSITY IN VARIFOCALS MODELS AND PRICES?

Varifocal lenses are quite complicated to design. They may look quite the same when you look at cheap and expensive lenses but there will be a lot difference when you look through the cheap and expensive ones. Many things we buy are quite cheap to buy in basic versions but often you have to pay a lot more for the same thing with better performance. It's the same with lenses.

25. IS IT WORTH TO PAY THE MONEY FOR HIGH END VARIFOCAL LENSES?

The answer is YES. Low quality varifocal you may get cheap, but remember most of them will give you a lot distortions and discomfort when you will use them. Vision will be limited to central parts of the lenses, looking through the peripherals will give you blurred vision. Because the power is changing smoothly from distance to reading, they can only be manufactured the way where only some of the lens area will make your vision clear. It's impossible to make the perfect varifocal lens ( without distortions ), but by using different designs and filters the manufacturers can significantly decrease the distortions and imperfections so we can easy adapt to the high quality varifocals and also the field of clear vision is much wider compare to the cheap ones . The great news is that our standard varifocal lenses are digital designs. It means they are much better than the basic conventional varifocals sold by some opticians.

Our top model is easy comparable with the best branded varifocal lenses from Essilor, Zeiss or Nikon.

We advice invest money rather in quality lens than expensive designer frame if your budget is limited. If your eyes are in good comfort, you will feel better and quickly appreciate high quality lens.
